I started using drugs far too young, sinking into selfish choices that damaged my relationships and future. For years I tried to escape the cycle but kept falling back, longing for freedom yet feeling imprisoned—spiritually and sometimes literally.
In that desperation, I finally cried out to a God I barely knew and simply asked for help. In my brokenness, He met me. What I couldn’t change on my own, He began to change in me. His power brought clarity, exposed the real issues, and opened a path out of the despair I’d lived in. Through His Word, my heart and mind were reshaped, and my priorities rebuilt.
As I changed inside, my life changed outside—relationships healed, opportunities opened, my health improved, and everything moved in a new direction.
Today I’m married, running my own construction company, serving as a pastor, and by God’s grace have been free from addiction for over 25 years. When people ask how it happened, the answer is simple: He did it.
